ManTech awarded contract to sustain MRAP vehicles

Company to provide logistics sustainment and support in the U.S. and Southwest Asia

FAIRFAX, Va. -- ManTech International Corporation, a provider of technologies for national security programs, announced Feb. 7 that the company has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army’s TACOM Contracting Center to continue providing logistics sustainment and support for the U.S. military’s Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Family of Vehicles (FoV). The award is valued at $488 million for an initial period of performance and options totaling 11 months.

ManTech will manage, monitor and sustain equipment operational readiness for MRAP FoVs. In addition, ManTech will provide rapid assessment and repair of battle-damaged MRAP and Route Clearance Vehicle equipment, and immediate repairs of mechanical failures due to operational damage or system fatigue. Work will be performed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and at locations throughout the U.S. as required.

Addeo, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s Technical Services Group. “ManTech is honored to be selected once again to assist the U.S. Army in this endeavor.”

“We began our support in 2003 and have expanded our services over the years to meet operational requirements,” added Kevin C. Cody, business unit president of ManTech’s Systems Sustainment and Integrated Logistics business unit. “We look forward to extending our support of the MRAP FoV fleet that protects our nation’s peacekeepers.”
