Louisiana Bill to Allow Military Surplus Vehicle Registration Amended and Approved by Senate; Moves to House

Legislation (S.B. 549) allows for the registration and operation of military surplus motor vehicles. Under current law, there is no allowance for the registration of military surplus vehicles. The bill passed the Senate where it received a favorable amendment. The bill is currently waiting to be heard on the House floor.

Update, June 6, 2018:

Well done Louisiana! Legislation (S.B. 549) allowing for the registration and operation of military surplus motor vehicles was signed into law by Governor John Bel Edwards. Under previous law, there was no such allowance.
