For paratrooper training purposes large numbers of unmodified Type-11s were used between 1946 and 1950. Here in 1948 members of the Army Airborne School in Pau pose wearing mainly pre-war Type-11s and what are apparently a couple of prototype “M50” training helmets. Some wear post-1943 Polaroid-type rubber and plastic goggles or early European clones.
