The SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show) isn’t a gun show. While it features thousands of firearms, is attended by more than 60,000 people and fills nearly an entire convention center in Las Vegas it isn’t a gun show. It is actually the annual industry trade event where manufacturers, gun shop owners and retailers and industry insiders gather to see the latest products in the world of firearms.
There is also much that can be seen that would appeal to military collectors, re-enactors and history enthusiasts. The Jan. 15-18, 2013, SHOT Show’s tag line was “Too Good to Miss.” A visit to the show floor clearly indicates why, indeed, this one show shouldn’t be missed.
Despite increased calls for firearms legislation, SHOT Show – which is produced by the National Shooting Sports Foundation — is the show that must go on.
