PLEASANTON, Calif. and EAGAN, Minn. – IronPlanet, the leading online marketplace for buying and selling used heavy equipment and trucks, will hold auctions on IronPlanet and across all of its marketplaces this Wednesday through Friday, as well as hold a joint live unreserved public auction with Cat Auction Services in Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
“This week marks our end-of-the-quarter auctions at IronPlanet across all of our marketplaces,” said Jeff Jeter, IronPlanet president. “In addition to our online auctions this week, we are excited to build on the success of our Florida onsite auction where we had the best selection of low hour, late model Caterpillar equipment. This week we will be holding our second joint event with Cat Auction Services, hosted by Zielger Cat in Des Moines, to benefit our customers in the upper midwest. Likewise, it is an exciting week with Kruse hosting a big two-day oilfield equipment auction in Oklahoma City.”
IronPlanet is holding auctions across all of its marketplaces this week: IronPlanet, in North America and Europe, TruckPlanet, GovPlanet, and Kruse Energy & Equipment Auctioneers.

IronPlanet and Associated Auction Services LLC, an alliance of Caterpillar and several of its independent Cat® dealers, that operates under the name of Cat Auction Services (“Cat Auction Services”) announced on December 19, 2014, that they had signed an agreement to merge. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other standard closing conditions, and is anticipated to be completed during the first quarter of 2015. The transaction is not subject to the Federal premerger waiting period. This auction is being conducted pursuant to a joint venture agreement, which is independent of the proposed merger.
