Qatar and Kuwait will receive multiple tactical vehicles from Oshkosh Defense as part of a deal announced by the Pentagon on March 21, 2018. The $15,394,185 firm-fixed-price foreign military sales contract is to deliver M985A4 guided missile transporters with cranes, M985A4 Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT), Multiple-Launch Rocket System resupply trucks, M984A4 HEMTT wreckers, M983A4 HEMTT tractors, and associated training support. One bid was solicited with one bid received. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2019. Fiscal 2010 foreign military sales funds in the amount of $15,394,185 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting organization.

M985A4 Guided Missile Transporter (GMT)

It is used for the delivery, recovery and loading of guided missiles. Equipped with a mounted crane with a lifting capacity of 5,400 pounds (2455 kg), the HEMTT A4 GMT quickly and efficiently removes spent missile canisters from the launcher and replaces them with fresh missiles. An anti-lock braking system, traction control and air-ride suspension allows it to traverse all types of terrains.

M985A4 Multiple-Launch Rocket System Resupply Truck

This is the prime ammunition transporter for the Multiple-Launch Rocket System (MLRS). An anti-lock braking system, traction control and air-ride suspension allow it to traverse all types of environments. An on-board crane with a 5,400 pound (2455 kg) load capacity assures easy loading and unloading of MLRS ammunition loads.

M984A4 HEMTT Wrecker

The wrecker has the maneuverability to traverse any type of terrain and the power to recover vehicles weighing in excess of ten tons (9072 kg), even those mired in mud, sand, water or snow. Manufactured with rugged, durable components, including a heavy-duty crane and winch retrieval system, the HEMTT A4 recovery truck is built for high-performance, long-lasting duty.

The M983A4 Patriot tractor is the primary mover for the Patriot missile. It offers the mobility, versatility, durability and high performance to assure the Patriot missile – mounted on M860 semi-trailers and towed by the M983A4.
