West Coast Historical Militaria Collectors Show is May 8, 9

The Spring West Coast Historical Militaria Collectors Show, billed as the largest all-military collectibles show and sale on the West Coast, will be held May 8th and 9th, 2009 in Pomona, California.

The Spring West Coast Historical Militaria Collectors Show, billed as the largest all-military collectibles show and sale on the West Coast, will be held May 8th and 9th, 2009 in Pomona, California.

Sponsors emphasize that this is NOT a gun show, and firearms or ammunition will not be available at the event. Instead, hundreds of premium dealers from around the country will offer a high caliber of unique militaria antiques and collectibles. Welcome are discerning collectors looking for hard to find items, as well as the novice looking to start a new collection.

Approx. 400 tables will be set up in the newly remodeled Building #9 at The Fairplex in Pomona (home of the Los Angeles County Fair).

Special guests will include the South West Armor Group, a fellowship of radio control AFV enthusiasts. This group is located throughout Southern California and manufacture, modify, detail and run radio controlled military vehicles. The San Francisco Japanese Sword Society will be on hand to offer free sword appraisals. This group was established for the true Japanese sword enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate the proud tradition and culture of Japan, the birthplace of Japanese swords. Their intention is to teach the proper understanding of Japanese history, language, philosophy, etc. to anyone who has a strong commitment, desire and seriousness.

The Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Chapter 9 out of Ontario will once again be available to sign their books, share photos and personal memories.

The show is open to the public Friday, 1 p.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (no Sunday hours).

General Admission is $7 adults, $2 kids, 2-day admission: $10. A Friday 8 a.m. “Early Bird Entry” is available upon request.
