Grenadier Military Antiques Auctions has announced the coming of a new way to buy and sell quality military antiques. Grenadier Military Antiques, a leader in military antiques for over 20 years, will expand its business with the launch of this all-new online auction service this spring.

This new auction service will be headed by Bruce B. Hermann, owner of Grenadier Military Antiques and Antiques Roadshow appraiser for 11 years, along with partner in the new venture Kevin S. Finley.

“This is an exciting new platform that will provide consignment, bidding, and sales opportunities from an established organization that collectors and clients can trust,” says Hermann. "The goal of Grenadier Military Antiques Auctions is to offer the collector an honest, trustworthy and time-tested venue. We will bring together both the buyer and seller of original quality military antiques in a secure domain that is as close as the keyboard.”

Hermann has an extensive background in Western European and American military history and is an internationally recognized authority in World War II memorabilia of all kinds. He also specializes in European and German militia to 1945, and has gained national preeminence in The Civil War, American Revolution, War of 1812, Mexican War, and Colonial eras.

The great-great-grandson of a Prussian Kürassier from the Franco-Prussian War of 1870, as well as a great-great-nephew of a member of Kaiser Franz Joseph's body guard regiment, Hermann became a full-fledged collector of military antiques at age 10. With more than four decades of experience, he has collected and sold almost every conceivable type of American and Western European military antique from the 1600s to 1945.

He is often called upon by notable auction houses for his expertise and guidance in the field of antique militaria, as well museums and private collectors worldwide for appraisals. He has been credited in the acknowledgments of many military reference books, and owns a vast library on the subject. Hermann is a respected member of numerous military collector and historical societies, and is frequently a speaker at historical society events. He has authored several articles for the ANTIQUES ROADSHOW Insider.

Finley brings a passion for military antiques and more than 35 years of experience dealing with militaria. Widely known among collectors in the U.S. and abroad, Finley is known for pulling a lot of good stuff out of proverbial woods. Also coming from a family with military history, Kevin's great-great-grandfather, George Williamson Finley, was 1st lieutenant of Co K 56th Virginia infantry and was one of a small number who crossed the famous stone wall at Gettysburg during Pickett’s Charge and was there captured. He was also with General Armistead when he was killed just before reaching the wall.

Finley is a proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and although he collects Civil War relics, he specializes in SS uniforms, headgear, and insignia, and has a noteworthy collection. Among the first pieces in his collection were those bestowed upon him by his grandfather, who fought at the Battle of the Bulge and was at the liberation of Dachau.
