PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. – Items from the Civil War, Revolutionary War & WWII were auctioned online by United Country – Absolute Auctions & Realty at www.AARbids.com on January 3. This extensive collection came from an estate of an avid collector local to the Hudson Valley.

Highlighting the auction was a group of 22 officer, cavalry, infantry and artillery insignia which sold for $2,300; 75 Civil War era Sharp bullets sold for $494; a Civil War Starr revolver and drum stick holder sold for $403 and a military uniform top with accessories including gloves, gas mask, bayonet, wire cutters, hat, gun holster, canteen and ammunition holder sold for $346.

The auction also included three Civil War cannon balls marked "12 PnDr shell" and "24 PnDr Coehorn Mortar ball" which brought $328; four WWII air force helmets one marked "Wilson ATR. Gocos Mfg. Co. Chicago, Illinois” and one marked “J.D. Hopper” brought $327; three WWII style helmets brought $322; over 200 military, WWII and Civil War books and magazines brought $678 and over 40 new-in-box military models brought $438.
