NEW ORLEANS – The latest travel package being offered by The National WWII Museum in New Orleans provides travelers with an opportunity to simultaneously experience the rich historical experiences offered by both the Museum and the iconic city in which it lives. The “History and Heritage” travel package will offer a look at the culture and history of New Orleans coupled with an insider’s tour of The National WWII Museum.
Offered on a monthly basis, the package presents an opportunity for travelers to spend a long weekend behind-the-scenes at The National WWII Museum with curators, while also touring various points of interest throughout the city of New Orleans.

Some highlights of the itinerary include touring the galleries of the Museum and the John F. Kushner Restoration Pavilion and the 4-D cinematic experience Beyond All Boundaries. Guests also will dine at the American Sector, a celebrated restaurant overseen by acclaimed Chef John Besh, and will view original and top-rated entertainment at the Stage Door Canteen. Outside of the Museum, visitors will experience a guided tour of the city highlighting its vast architectural treasures, an afternoon cruise on the Mississippi River aboard the Steamboat Natchez and shopping and sight-seeing throughout the famous French Quarter. Travelers also will have time to explore both the Museum and the city on their own.
