ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Rock Island Auction Company will again sell in excess of 6,000 firearms in more than 2,700 lots during its Feb. 21-23 sale (with preview Feb. 20 inside their Rock Island facility).
The Regional Sale is being headlined by three notable collections. The Tom Knapp Collection is comprised of firearms owned by the late, cherished exhibition shooter often recognized as the greatest of modern times. The Charles Best Collection is an impressively encyclopedic collection of over 400 Iver Johnson arms, and The Jim Hauff Collection is a comprehensive and educational assortment of over 300 Harrington & Richardson firearms.
There will even be a handful of antique Henry rifles as well as a volcanic lever action pistol.
This same sale will also include 5,600 items classified as Antique or Curio & Relic. There will be nearly 600 Winchesters, almost 500 Colts, around 800 sporting arms, and over 600 military items. Many popular manufacturers will be strongly represented, such as: Winchester, Smith & Wesson, Colt, Remington, Browning, Mauser, Savage, Ruger, and more.
Frequent auction attendees will also be pleased to see the abundance of edged weapons, ammunition, books, holster rigs, and magazines.
