James D. Julia will present its spring firearms auction March 11-12, with preview beginning March 8.
“Our Spring Auction once again will include a spectacular plethora of rare, historic and outstanding condition firearms,” organizers say.
Included are items from various renown collections, with Session I featuring the third and final phase of the extraordinary Wes Adams Collection of Winchesters and Savages.
This sale will also include the phase of the outstanding rare antique Colts from Dr. John and Margaret Pickup of Tasmania. Also the Barnes Family Collection of Brass Framed Winchesters and Henrys. In addition, the historical guns on sale include an exceedingly rare gold inlaid, high art, repeating Flintlock Carbine made for King Louis XV. There are also Civil War items and important historic items.
Session II features the extraordinary Douglas Eberhart Collection of Antique Colt, National, and Moore Deringers, the most complete collections of their type, ever.
