A Colt Richards Conversion Type II Revolver sold for $4,200 at Cordier Auction & Appraisals March 30 Firearms and Militaria Auction. 150 bidders were in the room and an additional 2,000 were online at the auction that featured firearms from the Estate of Paul Korsak of Coplay, PA.  Other highlights included a Winchester High Wall Rifle at $2,200 and a Krieghoff Trumpf Model Drilling at $3,400.

The sale featured antique and modern firearms, military collectibles, sporting collectibles, and gunsmithing equipment. The items from the Korsak estate included a number of customized rifles and shotguns in addition to gunsmithing equipment. The auction was held in Cordier Auctions’ salesroom in Harrisburg.

The Saturday sale began with handguns. Among the Colts that hammered down were a Python revolver in 357 magnum ($1,600) and a Model 1908 Vest pocket pistol ($700).  The highlight of the handguns was the Colt Richards conversion type II, which sold for $4,200 to a floor bidder.

Winchesters also saw strong results. A Winchester 1885 high wall rifle in 33-55 cal sold for $2,200 to the internet. A Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 rifle in .220 swift brought $1,200 on an estimate of $500-800.  A Model 71 rifle in .348 W.C.F. hammered down at $2,900 on a $2,300-2,700 estimate.  A Winchester Lee straight pull USN military musket sold for $2,100 to a bidder in the room.

Other long guns of note included multiple Krieghoffs led by a Model 32 Standard shotgun 12 gauge. which hammered at $1,900 to the internet.  A Colt SP-1 pre-ban AR-15 rifle in .223 Remington sold for $1,500. A Parker DH grade SxS shotgun 12 gauge brought $2,000 from an online bidder.

Gunsmithing equipment included a drilling and milling machine by Jet Equipment & Tools ($750) and a vintage Craftsman lathe & motor ($850), both of which sold to the internet.  The highlight of the military collectibles was a soldier identified WWI French military uniform worn by an ex-patriot from Middletown, PA which hammered to an internet bidder for $2,100.
