MIRROR, MIRROR
What is the correct kind of outside mirrors for HMMWVs? In most pictures they have what truckers call “west coast mirrors” but I have also seen HWWMVs with a a different kind.

Prior to around 1991, most HMMWVs had outside rearview mirrors that were mounted with one bolt. These were a bit flimsy and had a habit of coming loose, so later HMMVWs usually came with small West Coast style mirrors. Unless one is restoring their HMMWV to pre-1991 specifications, the West Coast type mirrors are correct because they were retrofitted to many older Hummvees. |
